Position Description

Responsible for technical design and development of Loan Originations related applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Perform as a technical lead on software development projects with responsibility for overall delivery of software components. Documents design decisions, adheres to architecture principles & existing process guidelines, develops software components, supports QA during testing, and has oversight during implementation into production.

Responsibilities:

Leads efforts to design and develop innovative high quality technology solutions
Ensures all delivered projects are progressing toward target architecture and are as simple and sustainable as possible
Conducts design and code reviews
Assists in creation of project schedule
Works with the managed services vendor to oversee the design and delivery of software that is developed
Works with Release Management team to oversee that environments are operational and prepared for current and upcoming projects
Removes roadblocks that impede successful delivery of project
Contributes to implementation plan and holds turnover meeting with production support
Provides Post Implementation Support
Supports audits of all applicable products

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
3+ years of application development experience using Core Java, J2EE, JSP, EJB, Web Services, WebLogic, Unix
3+ years of experience with various Object Oriented design architectures, strategies, and patterns
3+ years of database development experience using Oracle, SQL Server

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with BPM Workflow products like Savvion, Rules Engines like Blaze Advisor
Microsoft/Sun Certification - Java, .Net, Oracle, SQL Server
Experience with .Net
Financial Services experience
Good understanding of the Agile Delivery Methodology

Prior experience working as a Technical Lead
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
Able to operate in a constantly changing, fast-paced technological environment
Ability to work with in-sourced and outsourced partners
