Disability and Leave Training Manager

Do you have experience with fully insured LTD and STD claims? Do you have experience creating and delivering training? Are you a Learning and Development professional who can instruct participants in distance learning programs, as well as, develop and maintain a blended curriculum, supporting documentation for instructor-led courses? A collaborative, consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, and a flexible "can-do" attitude who is committed to success? A team player who relishes being a member of a high-performing training team? If so, Alight is looking for someone experienced in fully insured STD/LTD claim management and a desire to train!

Job Responsibilities:

• Build and facilitate training programs to train company personnel on systems, requirements, and processes
• Innovate and improve learning solutions through collaborative design and delivery
• Engage with Training Team, Leadership, and Quality Assurance to develop and implement training tools
• Create learning programs with appropriate and engaging instructional materials
• Interface with compliance to ensure changes, escalated issues, and complex solutions are properly incorporated into training.
• Cross-collaboration with various stakeholders within operations, quality, performance guarantees, account management, and carrier relationship contacts.

Knowledge, Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiencies:

• Minimum 2 years training experience, bachelor's degree, or Professional Trainer Certification preferred

Work Experience:

• Experience with fully insured LTD and STD claims required
• Experience with complex case management
• Understanding of plan language including eligibility, exclusions, limitations, and financials
• Working knowledge of Adult Learning Theory and a high level of attention to detail, process, and organization
• Experience with software instruction and high proficiency in technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating courtesy, tact, and professionalism.
• A working knowledge of disability management and FMLA, case management
• Intermediate level computer skills using Microsoft and experience with Learning Management systems
