Job Description

Job Summary:

Darling International Inc. is currently seeking a Payroll/401K/Kronos Analyst to join the IT team at our Corporate office in Irving, Texas. The position will provide primary functional and technical design, direction, and support to the corporate Payroll functions. The position also contributes to both functional and technical implementations of existing and new Payroll, 401K, Kronos and related third party applications.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Functional and technical support to the corporate Payroll functions.
  • Provide primary support for Payroll, 401K, Kronos and carry out configuration changes for new requirements.
  • Support and troubleshoot all Payroll or related integrations to and from Oracle HCM.
  • Analyze, design, and develop solutions for enhancements to ADP, Kronos, or Oracle HCM.
  • Documentation and training to end user groups on existing functionality and newly developed enhancements.
  • QA services and regression testing for all applicable ADP, Kronos, and related application upgrades.
  • Works with corporate HR and Payroll functions to streamline, document and improve existing and new processes using Oracle HCM and third-party software solutions like ADP, Kronos etc.
  • Documents and communicates functional and technical requirement specifications for system enhancements and reporting/data needs to IT development team.
  • Provides quality assurance and testing on newly developed customizations and reports before deploying to the user group.
  • Develops ad-hoc reports, data extracts, etc. to meet one-time or continuing business needs using available tools (BI Publisher, Oracle Reports, EiS, Toad, etc.).

Requirements Include:

  • 4-year degree, Information Systems preferred.
  • 5+ years total experience.
  • 3+ years experience implementing and/or supporting applications like ADP, Oracle HCM, Workday, Peoplesoft or similar applications preferred.
  • Experience with the following Oracle modules: HCM, Benefits and Payroll preferred.
  • SQL knowledge; techno-functional skills preferred.

Additional Relevant Experience:

  • Oracle modules: HR, Benefits and Workforce Compensation.
  • 401K background/experience.
  • ADP/Kronos experience.
