Job Description

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Maintenance Planner based in Dallas Texas manufacturing plant.

  • Responsible for screening of all Work Orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning
  • Continually update PMs and Work Instructions to reflect new learnings about improvements/failures.
  • Ensure specific safety hazards are identified for each job and communicate LOTO procedures for specific tasks to be performed.
  • Complete estimations of required hours on Work Order tasks, total durations, and skills required to perform the tasks.
  • Determine and include QA/QC requirements for each job.
  • Analysis of equipment performance and component life cycles
  • Plan parts for all projects to increase "wrench time" and maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinate priority setting with BU Leadership team and ensure all Work Orders and tasks are well-organized and closed after completion.
  • Lead portions of the daily and weekly DDS process, including:
    • Daily reporting and prioritization of defects found, fixed and total backlog.
    • Daily reporting of breakdowns (includes leveraging Breakdown Elimination)
    • Contribute to development and execution of the Plan for the Day
    • Weekly tracking and reporting of maintenance measurement data - Backlog, MTTC, PM Completion (Indicators of health of Planning & Scheduling system)
  • Identify and address safety risks related to maintenance activities.
  • Own PM systems for the Line, focusing on Breakdown Elimination, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling PDMSs
    • Own the health of the Defect Handling system.
    • Coach and develop Teams by serving as a technical coach and resource.
    • MVP data integrity and adherence to MVP standards
    • Planning and Scheduling: Execute all planning and scheduling, shutdown plans, and all other maintenance activities to drive out losses.
  • Support development of, and lead execution of the 90-Day Plan
  • Attend critical maintenance meetings.
  • Attend monthly team meetings.
  • Complete audit follow-ups for your lines/systems
  • Participate in plant wide shutdown PBEDs.

DAILY TASKS

Prior to morning BU DDS:

  • Spend floor time to gather info on stops and defects to build Plan for the Day
  • Alignment with OPEX on stops and defects to build Plan for the Day
  • Investigate what items/Work Orders were not completed and why.
  • Begin to develop Plan for the Day for ownership areas.
  • Attend shift transition huddles.

BU DDS Meeting:

  • Discuss stops, breakdowns and root causes, establish countermeasures in Plan for the Day
  • Talk defects found and defects fixed, prioritize work orders to address defects to be fixed.
  • Review work orders completed and work orders on the schedule for the day.
  • Assign owner to follow-ups on daily plan.
  • Request support from leadership and support groups to remove barriers.

Floor Time (Immediately following BU DDS...~2-4 hours daily):

  • Carry out action items on the Plan for the Day
  • Participate in Planned Stops for each line.
  • Conduct coaching in ownership areas, coach root cause analysis of stops, breakdowns and defect handing.
  • Execute health checks on DH PDMS
  • Align all technical resources necessary to complete the Plan for the Day
  • Collaborate with other Planners to support activities and resources across the plant.

Afternoon Reconnect DDS:

  • Share what specific items were not completed and adjust maintenance plan to ensure completion.
  • Update Plan for the Day
  • Assign action item owners for Night Shift (if needed)
  • Pass along critical information to Night Shift Supervisors and maintenance technicians.

Maintenance Planning/Budget:

  • Oversee plan creation for upcoming maintenance windows. Ensure all needed parts are ordered and personnel requested. Collaborate with OPEX on additional action items that need to be addressed.
  • Review maintenance expenses, forecast and plan upcoming activities to minimize costs.
WEEKLY TASKS
  • Attend the weekly BU DDS meeting.
  • Conduct the weekly Maintenance Planning & Scheduling review meeting with the Reliability Lead
MONTHLY TASKS
  • Review data on what types of defects are being discovered (utilizing all types)
  • Failure to defect ratio and if we are missing defects.
  • Team engagement (are there defects being identified by multiple people?)
  • Equipment ownership skills and development to be better defect hunters.
  • Discuss backlog and follow up on quality of defect mitigation.
  • Are there any barriers to implementing institutional fixes?

QUARTERLY

  • Participate in Validation process and engage with team members to build 90-Day Action Plan
