As a Staff Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the robust performance of VBAT avionic hardware within its electromagnetic environment. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including EE, RF, and others to mitigate onboard interference signals. You will define and implement EMI/EMC requirements to meet VBAT product performance standards for EMI/EMC compliance.
What you'll do:
Lead EMI/EMC design and compliance regarding grounding, shielding, transmissions lines, filter design, and other EMI related aspects.
Lead design of aircraft system desensitization improvements.
Mentor and lead cross-functional teammates.
Draft, review and modify EMI test plans, procedures, reports, and seeks opportunities for improved VBAT resilience to electromagnetic environment.
Participates in Design Reviews, trade-off analysis, and provide all EMI/EMC design control for major programs.
Identifying and understanding mechanisms responsible for interference signals, developing effective mitigation solutions that adhere to size, weight, and power constraints.
Driving improvements in design, testing, and compliance processes within the RF team.
Defining test procedures and requirements, providing training to operators and technicians to ensure flawless execution.
Fostering a collaborative environment by mentoring teammates, sharing knowledge, and facilitating their professional growth.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within hardware development projects, demonstrating initiative to propose and implement innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and overall project success and V-Bat reliability

Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent field.
Strong experience specializing in EMI/EMC
Strong technical fundamentals
Has led at least one product through compliance certification.
Experience with software tools such as LTSpice.
Previous work experience reading, interpreting, and following circuit schematics, PCB layouts, engineering drawings, BOMs, cable harnesses, wiring schematics, interface diagrams, layout drawings, and mechanical drawings.
Previous contributions to product design involving cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Development, Manufacturing, and Production.
Demonstrated dedication, teamwork, commitment to high standards, and kindness in interactions with colleagues and teammates.
Demonstrated track record of assuming ownership over development processes and features and delivering outstanding outcomes.
Proven track record of successfully shipping products, showcasing the ability to navigate through development cycles, overcome obstacles, and deliver high-quality solutions to meet project deadlines and exceed client expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working on cutting-edge autonomous robotic systems.
Proven background in thriving within fast-paced environments, particularly within startup or R&D settings.
Demonstrated adaptability, agility, and the ability to innovate under pressure to meet dynamic project demands and drive successful outcomes.
