What You'll Do
  • Organize and manage trading territories in a manner that personifies the company's culture to all stakeholders
  • Position the division's ferrous scrap to maintain optimal leverage in the marketplace
  • Coordinate the division's ferrous scrap position with the SIOP team to ensure it aligns with the division's goals
  • Develop strong internal relationships with mill and recycling management teams at all levels
  • Develop strong external relationships with key third party consumers, mills and foundries
  • Utilize a trading mentality to optimize scrap flows, qualities, prices, and freights for all mills and recycling plants
  • Continuously work to develop new domestic and international markets for external scrap volumes
  • Increase direct supplies of scrap, while also increasing volumes of scrap bought and sold on an FOB basis
  • Communicate to all stake holders market trends and developments in a timely manner
  • Manage and expand capabilities of mill purchasing and sales team to include trading and foundry sales
  • Oversee and continuously work to improve efficiency of administration to include scrap vendor portal
  • Work with Logistics to reduce freight costs of scrap supply and improve asset efficiency
What You'll Need
  • 5 years of recycling industry experience preferred
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
