Depot Technician III will be responsible for performing end-to-end diagnostic repair and refurbishment of Toshiba's point of sale equipment, as well as equipment from other manufacturers. This includes (but is not limited to) printers, displays and system units. Additionally, this role may be required to perform system-based administrative duties, and perform basic work area maintenance including restocking of inventory items, cleaning, material removal, etc.
This is a full-time position located at our Durham Tricenter (2500 South TriCenter Blvd. Durham, NC 27713). No travel is required, overtime may be required when appropriate for business needs. Hours can fall between 7am and 7pm. A typical shift is either 7am-4pm or 10am-7pm. Rotational Saturdays are required.
Responsibilities:
Problem determination, diagnostics, testing and physical repair of complex equipment supported on maintenance contracts including but not limited to Toshiba, IBM and OEM point of sale equipment.
Able to manage return merchandise authorization (RMA) vendor relationships and RMA vendor portal data integrity.
Delegate work direction and priorities.
Oracle and OBIEE reporting.
Work tightly with management and follow business direction, ensuring we are working inline with organizational business goals.
Technicians are responsible for maintaining repair records, accurately writing off parts usage, diagnostic details and correctly maintaining inventory.
General maintenance and cleanup of work areas including recycling and waste activities.
Candidates may be required to participate in short and/or long term special projects that could involve shipping, receiving, sorting, packaging, refurbishing and other tasks associated with the project.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of experience in electronics repair

Ability to follow and perform testing scripts.

Good knowledge of hand tools and the ability to perform repairs on small product components

Physical Demands:
Lifting up to 50 lbs without assistance
Standing/Walking activities are encountered during 90% of the normal work day
Stooping/Bending/Squatting activities are encountered on a frequent basis
Reaching activities are conducted on a frequent and repetitive basis throughout the work day
An individual may be required to perform twisting activities, dependent on the type of position he need to place himself in while performing his/her job duties
