HF Sinclair in Dallas, Tx is seeking a Corporate Counsel -IT, who will be responsible for handling and providing expertise and assistance to the company, primarily assistance on technology transactions and related matters.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.
Minimum of at least 4 - 8 years of post-JD experience preferably with a law firm and in-house, with a primary, consistent focus on drafting and negotiating contracts for software and software/hardware systems, including Cloud-based systems (IAAS, SAAS, PAAS).
A minimum of a Jurisprudence Doctorate Degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school is required.
Self-motivated, organized team player who works well in a high-energy and fast-paced environment. Cooperative, encourages collaboration and builds understanding; ability to find common ground and solve problems, and owns his or her projects and commitments. Ability to manage and respond to a high volume of diverse requests. Advanced legal drafting and analytical skills; strong organizational skills, advanced reading and writing skills; problem solving, research and document review; and word processing skills.Licensed and in good standing with a state bar (admission to the State Bar of Texas, or eligibility to waive into the State Bar of Texas, is strongly preferred).Ability to effectively communicate with others at all levels of the organization and outside counsel, both written and verbal communication.
Must be able to supervise and lead work of paralegals and outside counsel effectively.
Office Based with occasional travel.
