We are currently seeking a Senior Java Microservices Developer - Irving, TX to join our team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

This is a permanent, fulltime, salaried position with benefits. Not open to C2C or C2H.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems
  • Lead the planning and design of product and technical initiatives and mentor Developers/ team members
  • Drive improvements in engineering techniques, standards, practices, and processes across the entire department, always encouraging a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Collaborate with the team members to ensure that the deliverables are on schedule
  • Engage with key stake holders, internal and external, to understand user requirements
  • Partner with entire technical team to determine systems planning, scheduling and implementation timeline to ensure the appropriate timing is set to ensure the project can be completed in scheduled time
  • Participate in Agile planning and estimation activities to break down large tasks into smaller tasks.
  • Communicate with customers and meet their various needs
  • Provide technical guidance to team and lead on issue resolution
  • Design reusable frameworks - Environment management and layout design
  • Mentor Jr/ team members and supporting the interviews/ evaluation

Basic, Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum four years' experience in:
    • Java, Maven/ Grade, Spring boot, Scrum, JIRA, GitHub/ Bitbucket, Eclipse/ IntelliJ IDE
    • AWS or Azure
    • PAAS - OpenShift or PCF
    • Setting up Continuous Deployment / Continuous Integration (CI / CD) pipeline for different platforms
    • Solving technical issues with thorough research and investigation
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent required

Other Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of one the testing tool like TestNG, Selenium etc.
  • Good understanding of DevOps pipeline
  • Migration experience from PCF to OpenShift
  • Java/Cloud/DevOps/Scrum/PCF/OpenShift
  • Migration experience from on-premises to Cloud
