How you'll make an impact:

Partner with leadership and become a trusted advisor to drive financial processes, strategic decision making and initiative prioritization. Own and manage the organization's monthly, quarterly, annual and long-range planning with high financial predictability & accuracy. Develop robust financial analysis models and complete ad-hoc business projects to streamline decision making. Prepare insightful analytics and presentations to help guide strategic directions and provide recommendations to senior management.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as financial specialist and liaison to Connected Vehicle
    • Lead preparation of detailed financial models and support negotiations of economic terms for new programs.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with business unit personnel
    • Proactively suggest changes to improve accuracy of forecasts and business plan
  • Drive forecasting functions related to IT organizations
    • Track headcount to plan and approve hiring of backfill positions as needed
    • Analyze trends on capitalization of labor and provide insight into impact on CV financial results
    • Work with Program Management to understand resource utilization by project
    • Align with operational teams on software license spend and maintain forecast model for license and maintenance spend. Work with team leads through negotiations of contracts as needed.
  • Develop and maintain reporting processes related to month end review of operating results
    • Prepare P&L and other reports
    • Review monthly expenses and provide accruals to Accounting
    • Distribute and review results with department managers and senior management on a monthly basis
    • Conduct variance analysis of actual results to budgets and forecasts and participate in monthly reporting of results.
    • Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly.
  • Proactively work with Accounting and other operational groups to address new programs, contracts, and other items that may impact the respective team(s)
  • Assist with other analyses as needed
  • Understand operations for groups supported and work to identify savings/synergy opportunities and mitigate risks

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Five (5)+ years of professional experience in a financial planning / accounting / operations analysis position
  • Experience building robust and interconnected financial models that help forecast trends
  • Ability to retrieve, analyze, and generate insights from data
  • Knowledge of financial planning would be an advantage
  • Ability to work with people and develop relationships across various departments and at all levels
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; can summarize and present conclusions in succinct manner
  • Ability to work closely with departments to develop understanding of operations
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects with minimum supervision
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Thorough accounting knowledge including an understanding of financial statements
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
