How you'll make a difference?

Performs professional accounting functions involving the application of established accounting standards, principles, and practices. Job duties consist of: verifying contracts, agreements, purchase orders and AP account coding, establishing and reconciling control figures for posting, support month end close and audit activities, special projects and assignments.

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties and tasks as needed and assigned.

  • Responsible for all accounting work necessary to insure accounts payable are processed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Prepare AP and T&E journal entries.

  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices to ensure compliance with internal control and SOX narratives and controls.

  • Participate in month end close by reconciling designated GL accts, preparing AP accruals and preparing AP estimates.

  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations with relevant supporting documentation.

  • Submission of final supplemental data to Corporate Consolidations.

  • Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and External Audit requests.

  • Conduct Ad hoc reporting and variance analysis/ metrics for management as needed.

What skills and experience will you need?

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

  • CPA or CPA candidate.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

  • 2 years of general ledger accounting experience including intercompany

  • Experience with Oracle 11i or R12 software.

  • Strong understanding of debits/credits and general accounting principles

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Must have intermediate-advanced level Excel skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Must have good time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and follow through with duties.

  • Must be detail oriented and understand top-level financials.

  • Coordinate workload to meet simultaneous deadlines.

  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change.

  • Ability to work overtime during month end close, quarter end, year-end.
