ABOUT THE JOB

The mission of our Human Resources team is to cultivate Danone's unique culture and help the business sustainably grow. We have an opening for a HR Generalist in our Dallas, Texas beverage manufacturing facility to support our night shift manufacturing teams. As an HR Generalist you will build and support the people capabilities in the organization utilizing HR knowledge. This role will drive and implement HR initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness, including recruitment and selection of new employees, talent development and performance management, employee engagement, and administration of various processes and programs. The work schedule is open for discussion but ideally targeting Monday - Friday 1PM - 9PM or Monday - Thursday 11AM - 9PM in order to provide consistent coverage/support for our night shift team members.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure fair and consistent administration of all human resources policies and practices.
  • Administer and implement communications programs to increase employee engagement and morale.
  • Provide training and development to managers and supervisors on policy, practices, and leadership skills.
  • Administer payroll and, time and attendance record keeping processes and company compensation programs including, benefits, paid time off, FMLA, STD etc.
  • Deliver and provide administration of training programs.
  • Actively maintain involvement in plant continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Be responsible for compliance with records, reports, and communication boards updates.
  • Administer full cycle recruitment processes including but not limited to posting, resume review, sourcing, background checks, on-boarding, new hire orientation, etc.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Implement local policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Corporate Ethics and Compliance procedures.
  • Monitor and administer Performance Management Process as directed by HR Director
  • Maintain accurate records within Human Resources system and compile reports from database.
  • Conduct employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews.
  • Partner with HRSS on various activities such as: Hires, Transfers, Promotions, Separations, Retirements, Disability, FMLA, etc.
  • Manage communications/coordination of employee organization changes.
  • Ensure that all HR administrative functions are handled in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist in developing policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


ABOUT YOU:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business, or related field, required. A master's degree and or PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP certifications is preferred.
  • You have at least 3-5 years' experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a manufacturing environment, administering all aspects of HR programs and disciplines, required. Previous HR experience in a union environment, is strongly preferred.
  • You have computer proficiency especially in MS Office products (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) and Kronos or other payroll system capability.
  • You can maintain a flexible schedule including ability to work off-hours and/or weekends, as needed.
  • You have fundamental knowledge of human resources laws, practices and procedures, and good business acumen.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well fundamental skills in influencing and persuasion.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills associated with developing trusting relationships.
  • You are organized and have multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
