Director HR Risk
The Director of Human Resources Risk is a key leadership position within the Bank's Human Resources department. This position is responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining, a staffing adequacy model for 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defense risk liasons, enhancing and managing HR's risk framework and controls including compliance with Dodd Frank, and act as the single point of contact for all HR regulatory responses.
*We are flexible on the primary location for this role
Position Responsibilities:
Strategy and Execution
  • Responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining a staffing adequacy model for risk liason positions across the organization.
  • Responsible for executing and enhancing the regulatory framworks within HR including those pertaining to Dodd Frank.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the inventory of applicable laws and regulations specific to HR departments.
  • Identify control gaps and establish clear risk ownership of specific risks to ensure transparency, ownership, and accountability.
  • Help build a culture of risk management and establish processes/avenues for risks to be reported and managed within the division.
  • Assess efficiency and effectiveness of processes to continuously improve risk management.
Operational Excellence
  • Maintain work papers in accordance with Compliance Management System policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain KRIs to track risk both proactively and risk outcomes.
  • Manage risk/audit engagements for HR; conduct process walkthroughs and document key controls, analyze, and work to eliminate potential gaps in control design or coverage.
  • Work with Learning and Development to implement and monitor necessary training programs for HR risk liaisons to ensure appropriate execution and understanding of risk requirements and responsibilities.
Leadership
  • Manage staffing adequacy and HR risk team.
  • Develop team through on-going performance coaching, counseling and training programs.
  • Hire, train and retain a high-performing team.

Position Qualifications:
  • 4 year Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law or related field
  • 10 years Financial services or related industry
  • 8 years Experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, risk management in financial services or related industry
  • 5 years Experience in working with & within the of 3 lines of defense and in risk functions
  • 5 years Managerial experience
