ABOUT THE JOB:

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We have an opening for Production Leader within our Bottles Business Unit in our Dallas, Texas beverage manufacturing facility. In this role, you will support the assigned business unit and will provide safety and servant-based leadership to achieve breakthrough business results. You will be accountable for driving out top losses on a 24-hour, multiple shift cycle through a rigorous Daily Direction Setting system and will specifically own Safety, Quality, System Performance, and CILs. This position is also accountable for weekly, monthly, and 90-day plan reviews.

The Production Leader owns ensuring the development of the operating teams' technical capability. You will provide daily direction and coaching to your team to deliver breakthrough results and will ultimately be accountable for the results of the line/system. You will also be responsible for learning the other BU Leadership positions and must become able to fill their roles (RL and OPEX) in their short-term absence. You will be responsible for building capability in Operating Teams and Equipment Owners to deliver overall line results supporting the CBN.

Additionally in this role you will be responsible for:

  • Owns Human and Food Safety for the line/system and the plan to improve.
  • Single point of ownership for the delivery of the glidepath for the line/system.
  • Facilitates development of the Line Master/90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability.
  • Owns delivery of the line targeted results
  • Owns DDS process including:
    • Leading daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly - includes Recognition of team members.
    • Development and execution of Plan for the Day - includes development and handoff of plan for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
    • Health of CIL system
    • Implementation and evolution of Planned Stops
    • Facilitates the DDS meetings.
    • Facilitates the weekly foundational meetings.
  • Builds capability in operators to identify, measure and drive out losses on their equipment.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching to team member.
  • Own support of the developmental plan for the Line Team
  • Owning staffing concerns for all shifts and production schedule to execute results.
  • Identifying training gaps for the operators/technicians on the system as well as developing and ensuring execution of training plan to address these gaps.
  • Facilitates communication of the plan to the teams.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You have a high school diploma or GED, required. A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, food science or related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience and training will be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
  • You have at least five years related experience within a manufacturing environment, required. Prior experience within a CPG manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • You have experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • You have strategic ability to create, design, and implement improvements to current procedures.
  • You can think quickly on your feet, especially in emergency situations.
  • You have a solid understanding of safety rules, plant rules, GMP, and code of ethics and follow them strictly at all times.
