Job Overview

OmniOn Power is seeking an experienced Senior HRIS Analyst to support, develop and integrate the ecosystem of HR business applications and services (which includes but is not limited to core HRMS, payroll, compensation, recruiting, learning & development) etc.). You will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced, global environment, managing our HRIS solution capability development while managing the migration from current state to future state as part of the overall strategy and will support the enablement of our HR Information System (Workday). This position reports to the senior compensation, benefits and HRIS leader and is based on-site in our Plano, Texas office.

Responsibilities

As the SeniorHRIS Analyst, your typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manages the day-to-day operation of the HRIS (Workday) and other HR systems ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and security, in collaboration with HR, IT and other various stakeholders.
  • Supports business system processes related to HCM, time tracking, absence, payroll, security, and integrations. Works collaboratively stakeholders to identify, plan, design, and implement appropriate system implementations, documents processes, and results, while working to ensure accuracy of participant's indicative data, benefits eligibility, and deductions in HR and Payroll systems.
  • Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Develops standard reports for ongoing customer reporting needs (such as compensation, benefits, time & attendance, payroll, etc). Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Serves as the process/system administrator for the annual salary review/merit process, incentive plan payout process and other various compensation/benefits system processes. Includes developing user procedures, guidelines, documentation, and process training materials for HR, people leaders and employees, and conducting end-user training sessions.
  • Provides production support, including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Participates or leads in the analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of information technology solutions for business processes.
  • Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintains HRMS tables.
  • Manages applications to current IT SLA expectations for uptime, performance and issue resolution while serving as technical expert responsible for the design and implementation of an assigned applications area(s), which supports client and/or business objectives and plans. Initiates external vendor service requests to resolve data integrity issues, compliance reporting requirements, vendor interface file enhancements, etc. and maintains and documents HRMS changes for Sarbanes Oxy (SOX) compliance.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
  • Participates in the evaluation/implementation of third-party software solutions and recommend alternatives for application portfolio migration that best align with business needs plus optimize maintainability and performance. Advises management on application and supporting technology purchases and on future projects or environment upgrades / modifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 8+ years supporting cloud-based HR Information Systems (such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors), including troubleshooting, requirements gathering, data analysis, testing and release management with a solid understanding of Human Resources data and processes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in another HR function such as compensation, payroll, business partner etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of one or more HR business functions (Staffing, Compensation, Payroll, Employee Relations, Leadership and Professional Development, Benefits, and Workforce Analytics)
  • Extensive experience with Workday HCM configurations, upgrades, security, and support required (multiple modules)
  • Experience implementing and administering Workday's advanced compensation and merit process
  • HRIS Certification
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have - Advanced Excel skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong experience in project planning and execution and previous experience establishing internal continuous improvement activities to drive efficiencies, manage/reduce costs, and improve service.
  • Solid experience as a change leader, preferably with experience instituting new, global processes and tools.
