We have an excellent opportunity for a Benefits and Compensation Analyst in our National Center office in Dallas, TX.
The Benefits and Compensation Analyst will play a key role in the strategy, planning, development, implementation, communication and administration of the Benefit Programs for American Heart Association. The position will assist in compensation analysis, including evaluations of positions, participation in salary surveys, analysis and reporting. In addition, the Benefits and Compensation Analyst will foster a team environment and a strong service culture that ensures delivery of timely, quality driven service to internal customers and meets service level agreements.
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Provide high level support to affiliate HR and benefits staff.
- Vendor management: Primary liaison with all benefit vendors; includes handling escalated issues from Shared Services, billing, contract management, stop loss reimbursements.
- Systems: PeopleSoft Benefit module SME for high level design, structure and troubleshooting, ePRISM market pricing tool; salary survey participation, Excel analysis and reporting.
- Assist in development of merit and incentive spreadsheet and analysis. Research, compile data, prepare statistical reports including charts, graphs and spreadsheets, and analyze the results for presentations.
- Benefit strategy and design: Participate in the strategy and design of all benefit related programs association wide. Includes researching some international benefit regulations and plans. Assist in development and management of benefits budget.
- Responsible for benefit compliance including PPACA, FMLA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, 5500 compliance, SPDs state/local regulations, etc.
- Communications: Develop and implement communications including benefit reminders, annual enrollment materials, SharePoint site design, new hire benefit orientation; responsible for update and maintenance of Employee Manual.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least three years of experience in developing and delivering written and oral benefit communications.
- At least five years benefits design and administration experience in a self-insured environment (billing, vendor relations, enrollment, communications, employee liaison, etc.)
- Strong understanding of state and federal laws, regulations and statutes relating to benefits, including ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, tax withholding/reporting, etc.
- Compensation analysis experience including, job evaluations and salary survey participation preferred.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, PeopleSoft a plus
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills; all other MicroSoft Office products - intermediate skills.
- CEBS or PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
