Job Description

Our company

We're Hitachi Digital Services, a global digital solutions and transformation business with a bold vision of our world's potential. We're people-centric and here to power good. Every day, we future-proof urban spaces, conserve natural resources, protect rainforests, and save lives. This is a world where innovation, technology, and deep expertise come together to take our company and customers from what's now to what's next. We make it happen through the power of acceleration.

Imagine the sheer breadth of talent it takes to bring a better tomorrow closer to today. We don't expect you to 'fit' every requirement - your life experience, character, perspective, and passion for achieving great things in the world are equally as important to us.

As a part of Product Engineering Services practice, we are looking for talented Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) to join us to contribute to practice initiatives and keep current in the latest technology developments in the Cloud and Product Engineering space.

What you'll be doing

* Candidate will be supporting 2 to 4 Scrum teams and ensuring code developed follows Pega best practices, considering future re-usability, maintainability, performance, etc.
* Candidate will be responsible for:
* Creating Proof of Concepts
* Designing new applications / workflows
* Performing code review / LSA review for all stories completed by developers
* Providing guidance to the team regarding development approach
* Providing guidance to developers when help is needed to troubleshoot / resolve a issue
* Identifying technical debt / future improvement
* Identifying new Pega features which can be used to improve current situation
* Support production releases when needed

What you bring to the team

* Pega LSA certification is Mandatory (we will need to know the email address they used when registering for the certification exam to verify this status).
* Ideally, experience working in Pega 8.6 or 8.7. This is our target version. Must have experience working in Pega 8.x. Lower versions are very different, so 7.x experience only is not going to be sufficient to support the program needs.
* Experience using Pega in a headless implementation pattern. This person must be able to talk though pros and cons of building natively in Pega vs. calling Pega API headlessly. We expect that our ideal solution will need to leverage both patterns. Many LSAs have a bias towards only building natively in Pega, so this broader view of solution architecture and ability to recommend the best pattern for a specific scenario is going to be critical.
* 15+ years of Total IT experience with database and client server design/development
* 7+ years' in Pega leadership role to design and develop shared/reusable enterprise rules and workflow components within Pega solutions suite
* 7+ years' experience in handling business process automation projects using Pega platform
* 7+ years' experience scoping, planning and delivering projects in Agile methodology
* Previous experience as a lead architect on multiple large-scale product or enterprise designs
* Expertise and good understanding of Relational Database Management Systems including architecting and designing for performance and scalability and working with Object to Relational Mapping schemes for distributed data access
* Solid fundamentals in Core Java & Object Oriented concepts
* Experience in Web technologies including Servlets, JSP, and XML. Should have hands on experience in developing web applications.
* Excellent skills in any of the RDBMS tools like Oracle, MSSQL, DB2 or Sybase. Should be proficient in SQL commands
* Experience in client-side technologies like HTML, Java Script, CSS
* Experience working with any of the Servlet containers or Enterprise containers like Jakarta tomcat, BEA Web logic, IBM WebSphere JBOSS. Should have knowledge in using any of the mentioned servers like deployment, configuring & troubleshooting
* Knowledge in web services, JMS, Middleware tools (like Web Methods, Vitria), Web frameworks (like Struts, spring), Design Patterns (like MVC I, MVC II etc).
* Knowledge of components for enterprise architecture like enterprise beans is a plus.

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area.
