Network Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as a member of the Network Operations and Data Center Engineering team focusing on data center and enterprise networking in a Cisco environment.Support connectivity to and from private cloud and co-located hosted infrastructure with public cloud integration.Support branch office and WAN site network capabilities.Install and provide physical connectivity to devices in a colocation data center.Assist with merger and acquisition activity related to network infrastructure consolidation and integrations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS configuration and administration

  • 5+years of experience in data center networking environments for a medium to large enterprise

  • 5+ years of experience with configuration and support of routing protocols, including BGP, EIGRP, or OSPF

  • 3+ years of experience with Aruba SilverPeak Edge Connect devices

  • Experience in multi-vendor network environments, network monitoring and logging systems, and automation technologies, including Ansible and Python

  • Experience racking, cabling, and documenting systems in a datacenter environment

  • Ability to respond to on call and emergency incidents and support network event escalations

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time, including to other offices or data centers

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of datacenter technologies, including virtualization, cloud IaaS, such as Azure or AWS, F5 load balancing, firewall, and security technologies

  • Knowledge of Cisco wireless and Cisco ISE

  • Cisco CCT Data Center certification

  • Cisco CCNA certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
