Job Title: InkTechnical Service Rep

Location:Central West Region - Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Kansas City, MO

Travel:70% and overnight, including air/flight

This role provides specialized ink technical assistance to our customers in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Kansas City, MO. This role is pivotal in identifying and addressing the technical and continuous improvement needs of our customers, ensuring the seamless delivery of our products and services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Leads and participates in process improvement initiatives with customers and Sunemployees. This requires dedication of significant time, as well as Sun Chemical resources tosupport the customer through major operational improvement projects including pressthroughput, decreased color down time, inventory, and work-off management, print qualityimprovements. Will participate regularly with the end use customer as our customer arranges,to provide expertise for successful graphic campaign changes and launches, and to provide expertise in job planning.
• Makes product selection decisions in accordance with Product Management based on enduse application and conducts appropriate trial related activities. Conducts research to developcustom products, coordinates with internal product management to define productrecommendations, provides fitness for use guidance that aligns with end use application,required specifications, and customer process.
• Supplies training needs to customer employee base, especially where it pertains to performance of ink blending, inventory, work off, and other basic functions of ink blending inhouse.
• Reporting field activity within the reporting tool (salesforce.com). Completes technical call reports and trial reports as needed, including both internal and external documentation.
• Submits, and follows up regional color match lab requests.
• Provides emergency backfill support for our products in case of sudden loss of customersupplied blending.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5-10 years of ink industry experience
• Experience with Kepner Tregoe, Six Sigma, SunMatch
• Industry laboratory and press equipment
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• High level of pressroom and printing process knowledge
